today i was playing with the boys outside and my neighbors were walking down the street, so i went over to chat with them for a few. i found out that the husband had just had open heart surgery a week ago...i told them if i would of known i would of brought them dinner. but its not too late, I'm going to take them either a gift card to a restaurant or stop by and pick some food for them tomorrow! if you know someone that has a new babe, that has had surgery or has been having a rough week, take them some food! i don't know anyone who doesn't feel better after something scrumptious in there tummy!;) my wonderful friend keena brightened my day this week with surprising me with my fave.... kraus' pizza and sweet tea! ;) thanks keena!

kiss- kiss- kiss-a-roonie

i skipped the day yesterday due to a crazy day, but  for today you are going to make sure and kiss on your spouse! when i did this before on here i was soooo surprised at how many people don't kiss their spouse when they leave for work in the morning and when they come home! especially people with kids! this is so important to do! especially in front of your kids! i read a good quote the other day " the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother" i that that was so good! we should be setting good examples to our kids of what a loving marriage should be like! so...happy kissing!

go get a piece of paper and pen, and grab your address book too! today you are going to mail someone a little note! just to say hi! i love getting a card or note in the mail! who actually takes the time to hand write a note these days?!?!? well, i know one person, my grandma nola! she is soooo good about mailing the kids and i notes all the time for everything and i love it!!!!!

ok, today you are just going to say a little prayer for someone else! sometimes we get so consumed in our own lives we forget about including others in our prayers. so many people are going through so much, so think of that friend, co-worker or family member that is going through something and say a little prayer for them!

today is going to be something easy! all you have to do is smile at everyone you see! walking into a store, driving down the street,going through the drive thru...everywhere! have you ever been in your car and looked over and saw someone smiling? i did the other day and it made me smile too! it's so nice to see happy people! just one little smile can brighten someones day!!!

i'm getting this posted a tiny bit late because "blogger" was on read only mode last night...so lets cut to the chase..... give your waitress and extra good tip tonight! let's say at least 50% ;) she will appreciate it a ton and if you have ever been a waiter or waitress you know how wonderful a big ole' tip is!

give-a-roonie- day 2

today you are going to do something to make a bunch of people smile! one of my  favorite things to do would be to go to a gas station and pay for everyone's gas! people would freak out with excitement!!!! i know i would! esp with these gas prices...blah blah blah! that's all you hear about anymore...gas prices! ok, well, since this isn't about gas prices,let me get back to what i was saying!;)

last week at work, i put a card on everyone's station that was a mom, which was everyone at my salon (but one guy,obviously) and just wrote "happy mother's day! hope you have a great weekend!" and i also gave them a little tiny opi hand lotion too! you would of thought i have them a million bucks! they all came and thanked me for just a little note and said how sweet it was!

so, do something to make a bunch of people smile, at work for your co-workers, maybe bring in some bagels, pick up a few extra coffee's, buy a few people in line behind you at the grocery store a cold beverage,take some of your neighbors cookies, or even just put sticky notes on some people's car that say "have a great day"....those are just a few ideas!

warmin' up wednesday

it's warmin' up wednesday!  the weather has been b-e-a-utiful and when it's warm outside it makes people thirsty, right?!?!( my personal fave drink is sweet tea!yum!) ok, so , you are going to buy someone a nice little beverage today! whether that's through the drive thru, at starbucks, even at the little cafe at target! this is one of my favorite ways to make someone smile!:)

when i did "toasty tuesday's" in novemeber, i can not tell you how many people made comments that they had someone at work tell them someone bought their coffee that morning! one girl said her boss came to work in the happiest mood ever and said " oh my gosh, someone paid for me when i went thru the drive thru this morning! that has never happened to me before!" and i guarantee you she has bought for someones since then!

2 weeks ago,after church, my parents went to red robin and when the check was about to come, the manager came over and told my parents their check (of 7 people) had all been paid for! the person that paid it wanted to remain anonymous! the manager said that he's never had that happen at the resturant before! how fun is that! my fam has been talking about it since!

now, go buy someone's beverage or meal today! i bet you'll be smiling more then them when you drive away!

10 day give-a-roonie

i don't know if you did simply give's "30 day live to give challenge" but it was so rewarding and fun!  so, i decided to do a simple little "10 day give-a-roonie"!it is a few of my favorite ways to give! i am going to start it this wednesday may 11th! you can check back every evening to see what the next day's

if you followed through with the "30 day live to give challenge" you: called your mom and told her you loved her, you mailed someone a note, you bought someone coffee 4 times, you called your dad and told him you loved him, you visited your grandparents, did something nice for your spouse, spent quality time with your kids, did an anonymous deed, returned someone's shopping cart,gave someone a smile and compliment, gave your old things away instead of selling them,gave your waitress a 50% tip, gave your best friend a reason to smile, kissed your spouse when they went to and came home from work, invited someone to sit with you who was sitting alone at a restaurant, took your neighbor muffins, took an elderly person a meal, wrote a letter to someone in the armed forces,opened a door for someone, gave up a front row parking spot, bought a homeless person a meal, donated to charity, bought some a hat and gloves (when it was freeeeeeezing)!

 whew! that's a lot of stuff!!! when is the last time you did say five of these things? even one of them?!?!?!? some people don't even do this in a whole year! can you imagine if we all did one simple deed everyday! the world would be a better happier  place!!!
